Met Nederlandstalige liedteksten die zijn samengesteld uit de wereldliteratuur.

De Kift bracht sinds de oprichting in 1988 twaalf studioalbums uit, werkte mee aan verschillende theater-, film- en samenwerkingsprojecten, schrijft muziek voor film en televisie en toert met shows in binnen- en buitenland. In november 2024 brachten ze hun nieuwe album Niemandsland uit.

WIE IS DE KIFT
De Kift wordt vaak gezien als een grote familie: met Ferry Heijne als zingende en blazende frontman, neef Pim op gitaar en broer Marco als muzikale manus-van-alles (zang, percussie, autoharp, steeldrums, toetsen). Vader Jan speelde tot 2015 trompet en moeder An deed jarenlang de merchandise.

Drummer Wim ter Weele is geen familie, maar samen met mede-oprichter Ferry de artistiek leider van De Kift. Wim deed de kunstacademie en is verantwoordelijk voor de decors en de vormgeving van alle, handgemaakte, bijzondere albumverpakkingen.
